Dear Captain Cabot,

I think that I should go on your adventurous voyage because I can be a big help with carpentry. For example, I helped my father build a corenr table to be put behind their beds so my mother could put her books and glasses somewhere. I also could help hunt by shooting an arro at some foods. I learned how to do this at cub camp. We also learned how to handle ropes and to rock climb. (Yes on real rocks!) Also I am in level 11 of swimming so if some was drowning I could help them.

I am a very trustworth perso who would not like to the Captain or the crew mates. I am sometimes very adventurous because lots of the time while going skiing I challenge myself to go down the dobule black diamond runs. In school I am always hardworking and do the best that I can do. For example, I always try to uses lots of description and "feeling words"! I am alsways very confident in myself and have a positive attitude. Uf yiy choose to go around with a bad attitude, you will most like not get what you want.

So overy all I think I would be a valuable crew mate on "The Matthew".

Yours Truly,

Meagan

Dear Captain Cabot,

I would be honored to set sail on the Matthew. I think I’m qualified to go on the Matthew because I’m great at climbing, I’ve climbed to the top of one of the highest trees in New West Minister. (My parents call me a monkey.) I have long nails so I can untie big knots, so maybe I can untie the ropes in big knots. I’m creative, kind, and caring. I’d get along great with the crew. If someone or something fell into the water I’d be glad to rescue it. I am very flexible, and I’d love to eat fresh sea food. I’m great and enjoy washing floors, dishes, and bathrooms. I’d be thrilled to set sail on the Matthew.

Sincerely
Scrubber

Dear Captain Cabot April 1st 1497

I think Ièll be perfectly suited to this great voyage on the Matthew.
I think I should go on this voyage, because I know on the voyage I have to be staying awake for a long time and also I canèt get tired at all easily. I once worked for 24 hours non stop at work .

I also think I should go on the voyage, because I have a lot of strength. I can pull up an anchor by myself and it will not be that heavy at all.

The voyage is perfect for me also to my behaviour. I can not get mad easily because, I never did in many years!I can also bring laughter to the crew members.

I think the best job for me to do is to steer the ship, I have excellent navigation skills. Once, I walked for 10 km without getting lost.

So Captain Cabot, please let me go in your fascinating journey on the Matthew through the rough oceans

sincerely
Sir Pete

Dear John Cabot April 17 1497

I just saw the newspaper of England and would be honored to come aboard the Matthew. I have great skills like sewing because my mom taught me when I was 7 and I am now 10 years old. I have a lot of practice. Another skill is cleaning because I wash dishes and keep my room clean when it is messy. My personality is flexible because I can change to different plans like when I was going to have Gym but instead I had computer class. I can also make good relationships because I am kind, for example when there was a girl and I didn’t know her name, I just started talking to her and know we are friends. These are the reasons I would like to come aboard your ship!

Sincerely,
S. Bellie

Dear Captain John Cabot,
I just read your advertisement and I would like to volunteer for the opportunity you are offering, to set sail to a different land. I think I would be perfect for this job because I can climb very well. If someone needs to climb up to the crow's nest very quickly to see if we might be colliding with anything, I could probably do it. I am also well suited for this adventure because I am very nice to other people and I’m very fast. For example, I beat my older sister in a race across rugged terrain and soft trails! I have good stamina so if I’m running to get something, I won't slow down. And if you lose something and you forget where it is, then I could find it because I usually don’t forget stuff. Also, I am a good navigator because I usually find places that my family and I are going to. And when I play games, I never cheat and I always play fair. Thank-you for reading my letter. I’m glad to have a chance to go on a voyage with you.

Sincerely: Knicknack Gray

Dear John Cabot

I would be honoured to be one of the 18 men on your ship, the Matthew.I think I would be valuable on your ship because I have great Navigating skills. So every time we need to know where to go, I will be straight there. With my great strength, I will be able to shimmy up the mast at great speed and be able to read the stars to guide us to shelter from storms.
I have also studied with the famous French Chef, Henri Fromage, and I would be able to help in the galley serving delicious meals for me fellow shipmates.

Best regards,

Jack Sparrow

Dear Captain Cabot,

I' ve just found out that you are looking for the crews for the voyage. I think that I can be one of your important crews because I have many skills that I can do such as catching food(including fish), tying knots, or maybe taking care of Ship' s Cat. I think that because I' ve done those(except taking care of Ship' s Cat), or I know a lot about them. I can help you by telling you about poisoness fishes so that we won' t get sick by eating them. I can do things very well as soon as you teach me how to because I' m good at doing things that I' ve never done but I have been working. I also can do other skills that are not mentioned. I guess that I will be able to scrub the deck, clean the clothes, and wash the dishes because I' m very organized. I like playing many musical instruments(which means I can be an entertainer) so that I can let others have fun by playing them. I know a lot about the ocean creatures and the ways to survive on the ocean because I' ve been studying them for years by reading books. I have a very good memory so that I can help others find something. I have a good eye sight that helps me see things very well. I' m kind, responsible(respectful), clean, playful, joyful, and smart that I can make friends easily and make people feel better. I' d love to teamwork and enchorage others, too.

Yours Truly,

Fearless Anna

Dear Captain Cabot
I just read your article in the England newspaper and I think I am suitable to come with you on your journey to the Indies. I am very strong, so I will be good at climbing the rope ladders on your ship, the "Matthew". I am a bright person and I like risky adventures because they're usually challenging. I will be suitable to steer the boat or stay on the crows nest because I have very good eyesight. Some personality traits are that I am brave, kind, and a lot of people say I'm fun to be around. I'd like to be famous and I'm a good listener so I follow instructions well. I am a fast thinker so if something is wrong, I know what to do. I would like to set sails, but I'm good at fishing and I like to have fun! Oh, I also have a postive attitude.

Yours truly,

Pirate Pete

Dear Captain Cabot
I have just read the England News aretical. I'm flabbergasted that you are letting people go on your ship "The Matthew". I'm really looking forward to going on your ship to find new land. I think you should choose me to be on the ships crew. I am a good swimmer and in level 12. If someone went onverboard I would jump in and save them. In the summer my cousin was in the pool, she went too deep and I had to save her. I like to go on daring adventures and would like to see new land. Here are some of my personality traits: I am strong, friendly and determined. I am able to stay calm in scary situations and persevere. I am smart and self confident. I get along with my classmates and I would be able to get along with my shipmates. I would be good at navigating because during my orienteering fieldtrip I got all the flags. That is why I would make a good crew member. I'm looking forward to meeting you John Cabot, and your grand ship "The Mathew."
Yours truly,
Daniella

Dear John Cabot
I saw your England newspaper article. I would appreciate if you could let me be on your ship because I would be a great rope climber. I could patch the sails because my dad calls me a monkey when I climb the tree in my back yard. I would be good at patching because I have sewed a pillow and a scarf before.
I also always work hard to get my homework done. I am smart because I get good grades and I like Social Studies, Science and Math. I would be the best ship mate,

Dear John Cabot,

I have just read the newspaper, and have seen your ad. I am very happy to hear that you are looking for a crew. I think that I will be someone you would like to take on your voyage to New Foundland when you leave in May, 1497 with the Matthew.
I would be fit to wash dishes since I've had lots of experience while my family and I didn't have a washing machine. I can scrub decks because I've had a great deal of practice washing the floors at home.
I can control my behavior, because I have been taking orders from my parents for years. I can keep my thoughts to myself since I can keep secrets. I'm well-mannered and well-behaved because I often get compliments about that. People tell me that I am good problem solver because I use logic. I would be a good team player because I get along with friends and family. I am a kind and thoughtful person. There are plenty of people whom I've helped.

Yours truly,

Lousiana

Dear Mr. John Cabot
I think you should let me on your ship because I read your ad in the England news and I am smart and encouraging because at my house when people feel bad I can cheer them up. I am enthusiastic because people work harder when I am around. I will work no matter what and I am a team player. I will not mind the cramped quarters of the Matthew and no complaining will come from me Sir. I have some experience in sailing because at my cottage I sail and I can catch food. Also, if the ship is broken I can repair it.

Yours truly
Billy Joe
