About the Explorer's Blog
Welcome to the Explorer’s Journal!
You will be sailing with John Cabot. Here you will record your life before, during, and after your voyage. You will write in role in the form of a diary or ship’s log. Dear Diary,
So far the trip is going wonderfully. Captain Cabot admires me for my great eye sight. He calls me "Eagle Eye". I share the crows nest with my new best friend, No Beard. I have two other friends named Mick Mack and Billy Joe. Everyone thinks I'm the toughest on the ship. There is some weird girl named Fearless Anna that brought a cat and calls her Kitty of the Ship. There was a guy named Bob who got scurvy and we made him walk the plank. The chef makes awful biscuits but her new invention is the best -- she calls it a "cinnamon bun". Right now, I love being on this ship. There's lots of things to do. John Cabot needs my help now. Bye!

I have been at sea for one whole! I had made close friends with Kayla,louisianna,fearlessanna and also Kathythe only down side is they make fun of my name because it has the word poop in it. Anyway mostly everyday the kitty of the ship climbs with me to the crows nest until it gets scared then I have to climb back up and finish my shift. This morning my crew mate BOB fell of the ship and drown to the bottom of the ocean so now were down to 24. Oh look here comes captian Cabot maybe I could ask him if he would like to taste the new honey tea that Kathy and I made well I better go ask him! Bye for now!

We are on the Ship. I have jobs are to cook and scrub the deck. The Captian tell us to do jobs.Some sailors feed kitty.He is a boy. I cook some fish soup with shrimp. And it's yummy. It's gonna be fun!

Dear Diary,
I've met tons of new people on this voyage, and made some new friends: poopdeckjen ( also works in the kitchen), Bob (a fisherman), fearless anna (a kitty-caretaker), and kitty (the kitty of the ship and the cat fearless anna tends to). I'm very excited, I met "Pirate Pete" he was on Columbus' ship!
I'm so glad I'm not seasick! but I still wish the boat would stop rocking just for a little while.
I only brought the extra biscuits so nobody would go hungry; but people think they are a secret stash, so they've all have been attempting to steal the biscuits!
Bob fell out of the ship when he got hit by a fish somebody threw at him in a food fight, we all were sad to see him go.
The other day I was toying around with the new spices Captain Cabot brought and my extra biscuit dough, when I invented the best food ever, it is delicious, and I call it a "cinnamon bun".

Dear Diary,
I’ve been on the ship for a whole week, and I haven’t even thrown up yet. It’s awesomely, awesome seeing all these beautiful things! I feel kind of sorry for my friend Jack Sparrow because he’s still throwing up! Today my job is to watch from the crows nest see if anything is going to hit us. There’s an adorable cat named ‘Kitty of the Ship’, but I just call her Kitty for short. Oh, and you’d never know what happened to Bob! He ate some raw fish, and then went up to the crows nest for his shift and fainted. When he fainted he fell from the crows nest and sadly he died. We are all very sad but we’re slowly getting over it. I will now tell you happier things. I have met another friend but this time she’s a girl, whose name is Juliana. Also I met S-bellie, who is very funny. My four friends Jack Sparrow, Ship Boy, Juliana, S-bellie and I are having lots of fun! (Well, Jack Sparrow is having fun except when he’s throwing up.) Well, captain Cabot is calling, got to go!

It's hard work on the boat because Jack Sparo got a little sea sick adn I had to clean it up! Since my job is done I'm going to hang out with "Kitty of the Ship". Then I hear Captain John Cabot say, "I'm a little hungry, could you get me some of Louise's biscuits?" Ok, I reply. I will have to sneak in while she is doing some work and then I can get the biscuits. I am able to get the biscuits and take them to John Cabot. I met some friends aboard the ship, Louisianna, Fearless Anna, Scrubber and the one who got sea sick, Jack Sparo. Now it is time for me to relax with the Kitty, that is short for "Kitty of the Ship". Have you heard about Bob? He ate too many biscuits and then climbed the mast and fell overboard. No one has seen him since! I think it would be fun to push Sir Pete off the ship because the rumor is, he's going to try and push Louisianna over board. I will not do that but I will make him pay! If I did try I might fall overboard to. Now I am back on duty got to go! Bye for now!

It' s very hard to work on the ship. It' s been one week since I' ve been on The Matthew. Everyone except us thinks that life on the ship is exciting and... kind of easy. But we know the truth! I also made some friends including Poopdeckjen, S-Bellie, Louise, and Louisianna. Also, S-Bellie started to help me with taking care of Kitty. Besides, there are actually four flabbergasting news. One of them is that Kitty caught a mouse a few days ago! Other one is that we saw dolphines! Thirdly, I have a task to do, that I have to make a flag for our new land that we are going to find! The last one is that... MAN OVERBOARD!! Bob slipped and fell over board yesterday and drowned. I hope those kinds of situation won' t ever happen again. I have to scrub the deck and fish with my buddy Luisiana. Bye-bye!

It's been 1 week & we still haven't found land.But anyways the food is great from Poopdeckjen.Kathy's food is fine but I like poopdeckjen's better.Rob the Blac Smith is an old friend of mine.we have great friend shipall the way to frade school.It's nice to meet new people.My new friends are mick mack,on eyed Sam,billy bob,bill, bob & many more. They are fun to hang a out with our free time...... OH MAN !!!!!!! I'm going to miss bob. I'll always remember our good times. More good times ahead of our journey.Our ship THE MATTHEW has been strong than ever.It has been through rough sea & calm water and also through thunder storms & sunny days.I hope we will soon find land & have a berak from being on the ship all week

Hi I am Bill. I have been on the ship for one week (Meow). Not now kitty, lets carry on. I had two friends named Nicknack Gray and Bob. Unfortunately, Bob died when he fell off the ship and drowned. Nicknack Gray is now my best friend on the ship. Thats all for now.

I am having a not so fun time on deck.It was not such a good Idea to bring my I-pod because most of my break I am throwing up off deck. I feel bad because every time I get sick ship boy and scrubber have to clean it up.Poor bob fell off th ship so now no more anoyying old bob.When I was getting sick on deck Juilina came and started talking to me and made me feel better.About what I aid about bob....
it was't true what I said.He didn't fall off because I push him off.

It’s me again, it’s been one week that I’ve been on the Matthew and I’ve met some very nice people like bill,
Sir Pete, Mick Mack,
Pirate Pete, No beard, One Eyed Sam and Bob, But bob was looking at something in the water but he couldn’t see it that well, so he looked closer and accidentally fell into the water. Sniffle, sniffle tear sniffle tear. That’s the real story, others may say different but that story is the correct one. See you time, I have to go and scrub the deck with Bill and One Eyed Sam, bye.

I have made some friend's like poopdeck and of coarse Jack spoarrow who alway's get's sick and Scruber and Shipboy have to clean it up. Well bob jump off the ship any way nicknackgray is a lot of fun to be around. Sir pete is funny he like's to make joke's iam working in the kitchen with Kayla on lunch for everyone Poopdeckjen is one of my good friend's. Jack spoerrow is finally stoped geting sick for once scruber and me are working in the kitchen because kayla is sleeping and Nicknackgray is looking out the crow nest Shipboy is helping us by geting the plate's all ready to serve well got to go serve dinner bye.

I am feeling happy because the food is wonderful(it's chicken). The Matthew boat is 30 feet wide and I'm scrubing the big deck. I met Nick Nack Gray in the crow's nest, John Cabot hired me there.Oh there's Jack Sparrow.He's sick during the 24 hour time.Bad news though you see Bob is missing by falling off the boat and drowned.Bye now!

Its been a week now the food is sort of sick because there bugs in the biscit.plus the chief throws random thing in the soup."Hey are those biscits don't you dare walk away hey get back here with those biscits"!!!!!!I've only made one friend his name is will turner.there was a crew meber named S-beley he fell of the boat and hit his head and got nocked out and drounded. sad story.

My job is getting better and better I've made 2 new friends, Pirate Pete he's in the crows nest with me. Daniella,I met her on the ship. But thre's a rumor going a round that 1 of are ship mates Bob got scurvie and had to walk the plank thats what I've heard. My friend Pirate Pete almost thewup because of the chefs biscutes but she is making a really good recipe there called "Cinnomon Buns". Oh is it my shift already Ineed to go work the crows nest, Bye for now.

Right now I'm perched up on the crows nest waving down at my 2 best friends, their names are poopdeckjen and Kathy. Oh oh the big waves are rolling in! I'd brtter tell the crew and Captaian Cabot. Woa! SHARKS!. (whoops just my imagination. Well I'v got to go now mean-while I'll go play with The kitty of the ship, Oh did I mention that poor Bob fell of the ship it was a sad sight :(.
Well Id better leave for dinner, hope it's not seaweed stew again!!

It's been about 1 week, and so far I've had 2 jobs. One of my jobs was scrubing the deck like Sir Pete. The other one was washing dishes like I told you before.
Jack Sparow got a little sea-sick and poor S-Bellie had to clean it up.
While I was scrubbing the deck, I met Shipboy who was helping
S-Bellie clean up. I agree with her, about the beaustiful sails. I would love to take care of the cat like Fearless Anna who was my fishing buddy.
I also made a new friend named Kathy. I'm hungry, and I'm going to ask Louise for some of her crackers.
Oh, and yesterday something horrible happened. There was an argument, and Bob ended up in the water drowning.

I've been on the boat for a week and I was used to my jobs but we also changed sometimes.All f the biscuits has bugs in it. UGH!!!
I takes 10 minutes just to shake of all the bugs of the cookie and it is still as hard as metal
I stole 5 bicuits that don't have bugs on it (I stole it from Louise)
and whoever is reading this that is not Sir Pete who is me. Don' tell anyone or else next day,you'll be walking the plank! These days Bob has fne missing an Captain Cabot has declared him dead. The last time I saw him, he was walking on the edge of the ship like a maniac on my break time. Everybody made up some crazy throies what happened to him, Nicknack Gray had a first wild guess tha he got hit by a tour bus, but I know that he is just joking around. There are a lot of crew and there are all working like nuts! Some people I know are Nicknack gray, No beard, Louiseana, Rob the backsmith and several more, but I ain't have time, I have time, My break is over and I have to get working well bye

When I looked over the bow the sunlight lit the water and it trailed out behind the magnifasent ship. These biscets are sure hard as a hocky puck like No beard said. DEAR logbook It is my first week at sea and I am tired already. Sometimes I work longer hours on my watches to impress John Cabot and sometimes John Cabot gives me longer breaks.
Thats good because I am really tired. my best friends are Mick Mack No Beard and pirate pete. oh yeah one of our crew mates Bob was working at night and slipped on some water and fell overboard (he did not put in his letter he could not swim.)Poor Bob.
